A Motor HJ Qualification Sleeve Insignia; Class "A", constructed of pink colored wool, with steering wheel embroidered in white threads, with paper label on reverse, in mint condition.
The Motorized HJ Membership Badge, also referred to as Qualification Badge, Class A, was awarded to the members of the Motor HJ upon successful completion of all tests at the end of every year of their membership. Tests included mechanical knowledge and road sign knowledge, as well as driving knowledge for those of 16 years and up.
The Membership Badge was also known as “Kraftfahrerabzeichen” (Driver’s Badge). It could be achieved after the first year in the Motor HJ at age 15. The badge is round, showing a silver-grey machine-embroidered wheel on a pink field. It was worn on the lower left sleeve.
