    History

The Order of Hassania (Orden de la Hassania) was established by the Dahir in the Spanish Protectorate of Morocco on May 23, 1949. It was conferred upon Spaniards, Moroccans, and foreigners citizens, in recognition of distinguished and meritorious services rendered to the Spanish crown, and its interests in Morocco.

The grades of the Order were Collar, Grand Cross, Commander by Number, Commander, Officer, Knight, Silver Medal, and Bronze Medal. The Order was awarded to women in a reduced size.

The Order became obsolete after Moroccan independence in 1956.

The obverse inscription features Arabic letters.

The Order is also known as the Order of the King.

The Commander is also known as Saada.
