Medal for a Veteran of Labour (aluminum alloy, 34 mm), original ribbons, each are mounted to a five-sided aluminum suspension with pinback, light soiling on the MVL ribbon, extremely fine.
The Veteran of Labour Medal was established on April 29, 1974. This medal was conferred in recognition of long- term labour service. More than 3,650,000 were awarded.
The medal is composed of a aluminum alloy and measures 34mm in diameter. The obverse shows a hammer and sickle with the inscription for USSR. The reverse is lightly stippled and silver in colour.
The obverse Russian inscription translates to: "Veteran of Labour". The reverse Russian inscription translates to: "For Long-Term Conscientious Labour".
