History

The Sporting (Tarbiyat Badani) Award was established in 1952 to reward Iranian national champions for sporting achievements. The Award was presented as a Decoration in 2 Classes and as a Medal in 3 Classes. Following the Islamic Revolution in 1979, the Award was abolished.

Personnel who have already been awarded the III Class Medal for 3 or more years, who have provided faithful service to international sporting organizations, who manage sporting clubs who members had attained a ranking in the top 50 in national competitions are eligible for the award of the II Class Medal. Foreigners who have made significant contributions to the advancements of sports in Iran may also be eligible for the award.

The II Class Medal had a contingent of 10 members.
