The Reza Shah Military Merit Medal was instituted in 1926 and awarded in 3 Classes. The Medal may have been awarded for police merit, but more research is needed.
There are thought to be 2 versions of the Medal which are distinguished by the obverse design. The first version features a portrait of the Shah amidst a plain background while the second version features a portrait of the Shah bordered by a wreath design.
