    History

The Medal of Training was instituted in 1959 and is presented to military personnel in recognition of achieving a high standard during military training. Personnel who were injured during training may also be eligible for the award.

The Medal is awarded in 3 grades.

The Medal features a reverse Arabic inscription which translates to "Medal of Training."

There are multiple versions of the Medal which vary by the reverse design. Early versions feature a depiction of an Egyptian eagle while later versions feature a depiction of an Egyptian hawk. There may be additional versions of the Medal instituted post-1984 which feature a variation in the Eagle design.
