History

The King Hamad Order for Development was established by King Hamad II on April 17, 2008. The Order is awarded in 3 Classes in recognition of service provided towards the development of the nation. The award may also be known as the King Hamad Order of the Renaissance. There may also be 2 additional classes associated with the Order, but more information is necessary.

Foreign leaders, prime ministers, crown princes, parliamentary chiefs, ministers, and other personnel of equivalent rank are eligible for the award of the I Class.
