German Red Cross Honor Pin - in silvered tombac with enameled stylized eagle in the center, 23x23mm, wreath on reverse numbered "2", also marked "GES.GESCH", in extremely fine condition; an official award.
The German Red Cross decorations were instituted in April 1922, and were redesigned twice under the Nazi Regime, until they were finally replaced by the Social Welfare decoration (Volkspflege).
