The N.S.F.K. (National Socialist Flying Corps) founded Aero-modelling Groups in both the Hitler Youth and Jungvolk as a means to foster an interest in aeronautics. The Badge was awarded to members of the organizations who successfully made and flew model aircraft.
The Type I badges are all made of cloth.
The Grade "C" Badge, the highest grade, is a circular badge with a blue-grey cloth background and silver-coloured thread.
