Bevo-woven golden-yellow threads (for Cavalry), also black, moss-green threads and silvery flat wire, all on light moss-green colored cloth, in worn condition, tunic removed; approximately measures 10x12cm; very scarce and desirable item.
The Arm Shield for the Standard Bearer was introduced on August 4, 1936. The standard bearer was usually an NCO. The shield was worn on the upper right arm. It served the same function as the standard bearer’s gorget, but was not removable. The colour was determined by the wearer’s branch colour.
