History

The Hong Kong Disciplined Services Medal was established by Queen Elizabeth II by Royal Warrant on August 1, 1986. The Silver Medal was awarded to Hong Kong Customs and Excise and to Immigration Services personnel in recognition of 18 years of continuous service. The Medal was awarded until the return of Hong Kong to China in 1997. Approximately 1 739 Medals were issued.

A clasp is awarded to denote a total of 25 years of service and a second clasp is awarded to denote a total of 30 years of service. A silver rosette may be worn on the ribbon when the ribbon is worn alone.
