    The Standard Medal for the Württemberg Soldiers Association was instituted on November 30, 1895 by King Wilhelm II. The medal was founded to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Württemberg Soldiers Association (Kriegerverein).

    The medal was discontinued in 1918.
