Physical Description


An open rectangular clasp, constructed of argentine gilt. The obverse features a frame with a rue leaf on each side and the crowned monogram ‘AR’ in the centre. The reverse features a horizontal pinback. On a ribbon bar, on a white ribbon with two broad green centre stripes and narrow green borders.

History


The Reserve Long Service Decoration was instituted on April 23, 1874 by King Albert of Saxony. It was awarded to those who fulfilled their duty in the reserve of the military.

The II Class is a clasp that was awarded to general officers, doctors, NCOs, and guards who participated in a campaign, or for general service.
