A straight-armed cross with curved ends constructed of bronze gilt and enamels. The obverse bears a circular central medallion with a crowned "L" cipher on a ribbed background. The reverse bears a circular central medallion with a Bavarian lion. The reverse arms bear the inscription "FÜR XX JAHRE DIENST ZEIT" (For 20 Years of Service). On a loop for suspension.
The Cross for Security Services was established on February 10, 1906 by Prince Regent Luitpold. It was awarded to individuals for long and exceptional service within the Security Service. The Cross for Security Services was in two classes: I Class for 35 years of service and II Class for 20 years of service.
Unlike the I Class Cross, the II Class Cross does not feature green enamelled branched in the quadrants between the arms.
