The Finnish Name of the Cross is "Lotta-Svärd ansioristi".

The Lotta Svärd Merit Cross decoration was awarded by the organization "Lotta Svärd", a voluntary organisation for women only which was formed in 1918 during the War of Independence to provide auxiliary military support.

The swastika on the cross has no connection with the Nazi Party.
