A five armed red enameled cross in Gold, with ball finials, hollow, clusters of seven silver rays in each quadrant, with green and red enameled laurels, obverse centre with tughra of order founder Abdulhamid II (1876-1909), green enamels surround with Arabic script “Humanity, Assistance, Patriotism”, with elongated suspenion loop with two prongs, accompanied by original silk bow ribbon.
The Order was founded by Sultan Abdulhamid II. It was conferred upon foreign and Turkish women in recognition of acts of charity, and as a mark of the Sultan's esteem.
The Order was often conferred upon the Sultan's favorites within his harem.
It is also known as "Order of Charity".
The obverse features the cypher of the Sultan.
There are several variations in the design attributes of this Order.
The inscription is a translation of the Turkish script on the obverse.
