Physical Description and Item Details


A scarce order with an impressive silver base with white enamelled insignia with centre left-facing bust of Andrej Hlinka, reverse horizontal pin maker marked "K" denoting manufacture by the national mint at Kremnica, marked "987" (silver), measuring 77x89mm, with light crazing evident in the white enamels, extremely fine. Footnote: Order was issued September 11th 1939 was institutionalized.

History


This Order is conferred in recognition of civil and military merit.

There are two versions of this Order, a Civil division and a Military division, but the only difference between these two versions is the addition of swords to the Military division.
