In heavily oxidized silver gilt, with Cyrillic cypher "N" in the voided centre, measuring 33x55mm inclusive of its crown and ball suspension, text in cyrilic therefore awarded Serbian subject, on its original ladies bow-tied ribbon with pinback, fair.
The decoration was instituted on February 22, 1886 and was awarded to ladies who "helped alleviate the wounded and sick during the war against Bulgaria". It was conferred with Cyrillic initials to citizens of Serbia and with a Latin initials to foreign citizens.
The obverse of this badge translates to "FOR AIDING THE WOUNDED AND SICK WARRIORS OF THE WAR".
