This medal was conferred in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the reign of Prince/King Nicholas I. This anniversary also marks the King's golden wedding anniversary and proclamation as King.

The obverse inscription translates as "In Commemoration of the Celebrations of Fifty Years' Reign 1910". The reverse inscription translates to "For King and Country" and "1st August".
