The National Defence System of the Republic of Lithuania Medal for Deployment on International Missions is awarded to military personnel, active reserve military personnel, and civilians in recognition of successful participation in international military operations. It may also be awarded to those who could not complete their term due to injury or illness.

A small bronze number clasp is worn on the ribbon to denote the total number of completed international missions.
