History


The Order of the Cross of Terra Mariana was established by President Lennart Meri in 1995 to honour the independence of Estonia. It is conferred upon foreigners who have rendered outstanding services to Estonia and may be awarded posthumously.

The I Class Cross is identical to the Collar Sash Badge. The sash is 105mm wide for men and 64mm wide for women.
