Case of issue typical of pre war Japanese manufacture, wooden with a heavy black lacquer, with purple velvet medal bed and purple silk interior, exterior lid stating order title and class.

History


This Order was established by Emperor Kang Teh of Manchuria. It is considered the exact equivalent to the Japanese Order of the Rising Sun.

This Order is also known as the Order of the Prosperous Cloud.

The III Class Commander badge is the same as the II Class Grand Officer badge.

The reverse Japanese characters translate to "Order of Merit Decoration".
