History

The Medal for Commendable Conduct, or the General Service Medal, was established by Maharaja Sadul Singh in 1945. The Medal was awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers and other ranks of the Bikaner State Forces. 10 awards of the Medal are known to have been made.

The Medal is suspended from a clasp which is inscribed in English with the inscription "FOR COMMENDABLE SERVICE." There may be additional clasps authorized for wear with the Medal to Long Service or Distinguished Service, but subsequent research is necessary to confirm.

The obverse features a Devanagari inscription which translates to "His Highness Sadul Singh Bahadur" while the reverse features a Devanagari inscription which translates to "Kingdom of Bikaner."
