An eight point silver star, with a superimposed black enamelled eight point star, in the center a red enamelled dsic having three ears of corn and four small stars above, all in gilt (motif from the State coat of arms), surrounded by a white enamel ring with the Persian inscription "Sadiq Dost". Below the black star is a gilt crescent on the 6 o'clock arm.
The Order of Abassia (Imtiaz-i-Abbasia) was instituted by Nawab Al-Haj Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V, Abbasi, between 1920 and 1930. The Order was created in honour of Nawab Al-Haj Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V's dynasty and is conferred in 5 Classes to reward personal and public services performed in all fields of endeavour.
The I Class Grand Commander Breast Star is worn with a Breast Star. TThe suspension used on the I Class Grand Commander is of a Pelican, which were depicted as supports in the State coat of arms.
There may be variations of the Grand Commander which are worn from a neck ribbon, but additional research is necessary.
The obverse features a Persian inscription "Sadiq Dost" which translates to "Sincere Friend."
