History


This star was conferred upon military personnel in recognition of combat service on the Eastern Front during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

The obverse feature inscriptions in English and Hindi. The Hindi inscriptions translate to "Truth Alone Prevails" and "Poorvi Star".
