In browning copper, voided, measuring 43.5 mm (w) x 53.3 mm (h), both lugs intact but bent back, contact marks evident on the "208" designation, better than very fine.
This badge was worn by members of the 208th Infantry Battalion. The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Toronto, Ontario under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed May 3, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel T.H. Lennox with a strength of 27 officers and 686 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was broken up and absorbed into the 2nd and 8th Reserve Battalions. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
