History


The Order of the Star of Moheli is the highest decoration of Moheli - one of the three major islands of the Comoros. It was established by Queen Djoumbé Fatima in 1851, suppressed when the island fell under French rule in 1912 and later renewed in 2005. The Governor of Moheli acts as Grand Master.

There are three versions of the Order that differ in design and inscription.
