Badge: in silver with red and green enamels, measuring 61.5 mm (w) x 69 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring suspension, intact enamels, on its original sash incorporating a decorative moiré pattern

History


The decoration was instituted on March 16, 1959.

This Order was conferred upon Tunisian military personnel, civilians, and foreign citizens in recognition of exceptionally meritorious service to the nation.

The obverse features an inscription in Arabic translated as "Republic of Tunisia".
