History


Conferred upon members of the Royal Nigerian Military Forces, Royal Nigerian Navy and the Nigeria Police Force who served during Nigeria's move to independence on October 1, 1960. Also conferred upon members of the UK Land Forces who were seconded to the Royal Nigerian Military Forces.

The obverse and reverse feature inscriptions.
