History
The Order of Central African Merit is conferred upon Central Africans in recognition of meritorious service rendered in the domains of humanitarian aid, economics, and social services. It may also be awarded to foreigners, but only under exceptional circumstances.
Every member of the Order is received as a Knight, and promotions may only be made after 6 years spent in the lower grade.
There is a limit of 3 Grand Crosses. The reverse inscription translates to "Central African Merit."
