History

This Medal is awarded to Central Africans in recognition of long and meritorious service in their professional career.

There are two versions of the medal that differ in inscription. The first version has an obverse inscription that translates to "Central African Republic, Unity, Dignity, Labour," and the second version has an obverse inscription that translates to "Central African Empire, Unity, Dignity, Labour." Both versions feature a reverse inscription that translates to "Labour Medal."
