History

This decoration is conferred for contributions to the testing, development, and production of motor vehicles. It is conferred upon research organization, design office, and industrial enterprise employees, and military personnel with at least 10 years of experience in the field. It may also be awarded to other employees in exceptional circumstances.

The medal was changed in 2014.
