History

The Long and Exemplary Service Medal (Wisam al-Kihmat al-Tawilat wa al-Qadwat al-Hisanat) was instituted on January 6, 1962. The Medal is awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers or other enlisted personnel in recognition of 15 years of service in the Syrian Armed Forces.

There may be additional versions of the medal which differ by composition which are not featured here.
