History

The Sultan's Special Force Special Service Medal (Midal al-Khidmat al-Khasat Qawat al-Sultaniya al-Khasat) was instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 1985. The Medal is awarded to members of the Special Forces in recognition of 5 years or more of distinguished service.

The obverse features an inscription in Arabic.
