The Glorious Fifteenth National Day Medal, or the Fifteenth Anniversary Medal, (Midal al-'Aid al-Watani al-Khamas wa A'ashir al-Majid) was instituted by Sultan Qaboos in 1985 in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of Sultan Qaboos' 1970 accession to the Oman throne. The Medal is awarded to service personnel and employees of the Ministry of Defence who served on November 18, 1985.
The obverse features an inscription in Arabic, translated as "Sultan Qaboos bin Said Sultan of Oman". The reverse is dated in Arabic numerals and features an Arabic inscription which translates to "Glorious Fifteenth National Day Medal."
