    The Decoration of Military Pride (Sarbolandy Badge) was founded by HIM Muhammad Reza Shah in 1971. The Star was presented to the next of kin and family members of military personnel who were killed in action. It is uncertain if the award was discontinued following the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

    The award may also be known as the Decoration of Sorrow.

    A gold Pahlavi crown emblem was authorized for wear on the ...   ribbon.
