History
The Police Effort (Koushesh) Award was established in 1950 to reward members of the Iranian police force for extraordinary accomplishments in law enforcement, devotion to duty, and public service. The award is presented as a Decoration in 3 Classes and as a Medal in 3 Classes. The award was made obsolete following the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
The II Class Medal features the Persian date "1329 HS" (1950) on the obverse as well as an engraving of the recipient's name, grade of the Medal, and date of the institution of the award on the reverse in Persian script. A silver Pahlavi crown emblem is authorized for wear on the ribbon of the II Class Medal.
