History

There is much uncertainty regarding the Bravery (Shojaat) Award. It is believed that the Award was created to reward civilians for distinguished acts of heroism or acts of composure and courage demonstrated in the face of extreme adversity which induced positive results. It is thought that the Award was issued as both a Decoration as well as a Medal in 2 Classes.

The Decoration features a 6 pointed gold star.
