History

The Order of the Islamic Republic was established in 1990 as Iran's highest award for honour. The Order is awarded in 3 Classes to foreign nationals, including, presidents, prime ministers, and other high ranking officials.

The I Class Sash Badge is awarded along with a Breast Star to heads of state and prime ministers.
