History

The Order of Courage is believed to be a general Order awarded by the President of Iran to recognize acts of courage or other distinguished services. Personnel who have volunteered to accomplish a difficult task which is critical for the country, who have accepted a serious state mission or social duty which involve threats to personal safety, or demonstrations of physical power and skills to achieve a significant goal, qualify for the award of the Order. The Order may also be referred to the Order of Bravery.

The Order may be awarded in multiple classes, but more research is needed.
