The Order of Labour was instituted in 1966 by Governmental Law. The Order is conferred in 3 classes to Egyptian subjects in recognition of significant contributions to Egyptian industry and economy. Contributions to Egyptian scientific advancement is also eligible for the award.
The I Class is worn from a neck ribbon and features an obverse Arabic inscription which translates to "Labour."
Members of the Order also receive a tax-free monetary award.
