The Collar of Fouad I was instituted by King Farouk in 1936. The Collar was conferred upon Egyptian and foreign heads of state, members of royal houses, or other distinguished personnel in recognition of devoted service made towards the King, Egypt, or to humanity. The Order became obsolete in 1954.
The award of the Collar is limited to a contingent of 10 members at any one time.
The Collar features the obverse cypher of King Fouad I.
Recipients of the Collar may be addressed by the title "Pasha" and are entitled to the qualification of "Excellency."
