Physical Description


A rectangular bar constructed of silver and silver gilt, on a light blue ribbon bar. The obverse bears a horse within a pebbled border, topped with a crown. On one side are laurel leaves and the other side are oak leaves. Above and below bear a border with the inscription "50 JAHRE TREUE DIENSTE" (50 years of loyal service).

History


The Long Service Bar for Servants was established on September 21, 1903 by Duke Ernst August of Cumberland. It was conferred upon staff members of the Hanoverian Court who had rendered several years of service.

The I Class Bar was awarded to staff members for 50 years of service with the Hanoverian Court.
