Die struck in silvered bronze, 50.55mm x 48.5mm, excellent quality, a non-portable example without number, in extremely fine condition. Rare.
The Badge was instituted by the Nationalist Socialist Riding Corps on February 23, 1937, with an aim of increasing interest in riding and horsemanship. In order to receive the award, an individual had to be a member of the NSRK and had to fulfill a series of conditions which included: passing the certification tests required for horse-drawn vehicles and riding, demonstrating their ability to instruct others in horsemanship, and earning the S.A. Sports Badge.
The decoration was issued in only one class, silver. The badges that were officially issued to recipients were engraved with serial numbers on the reverse.
