History
SS vehicle pennants were used on cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. SS members were only allowed to fly them while in uniform and on duty, however. The standard size for these pennants was supposed to be 20x30 cms, but many pennants that can be found today are actually slightly larger. Vehicle pennants had different attachments, for example hooks or metal clips. The latter often feature RZM codes. Vehicle pennants often, but not always, feature an alternating black and white twist cord border.
The SS vehicle pennant for sponsoring members (Fördernde Mitglieder) is a black triangle with a white mobile swastika superimposed with black SS runes with a white border, and the white letters “F” and “M” below the swastika, one on each side.
