History
Before the adoption of the adjutant's lanyard, the position was identified in the lae 1920s and early 1930s by a unique pair of collar tabs.
The tabs had a black velvet underlay and a white metal or aluminum hand-embroidered Wolfsangel (historic wolf trap). They also featured aluminum twist cord piping.
The adjutant's collar tabs were discontinued with the introduction of the adjutant's lanyard.
