History

The Chevron for Former Stahlhelm Members was issued to former members of the organisation known as "Stahlhelm, Bund der Frontsoldaten" (Steel Helmet, League of Front Soldiers) who fulfilled certain requirements and were able to transfer into the SS.

This chevron was worn on the lower left sleeve and it could be worn in conjunction with the Honour Chevron for Old Fighters or the Honour Chevron for Former Members of the Police and Armed Forces.

It is in the shape of a black "V" with an aluminum centre stripe. It was available on a black, brown, earth-grey, or field-grey background.
