History
The Indian Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (Indian) was established in 1888 and awarded to native Indian Non-Commissioned Officers and other ranks for 20 years of meritorious service provided to the British Army. The Silver Medal became obsolete following India's independence in 1947.
There are multiple versions of the Medal which vary by the obverse effigy of the reigning monarch.
