The Police Service Decoration, Republic's Military Service Decoration, Border Guards Service Decoration, Fire Brigade Service Decoration, and Civil Defence Service Decoration all have the same wreath design.

The Hungarian name of the decoration is "Rendőrségi Szolgálati Jel".

All these decorations were founded by the Minister of the Interior, and they are awarded to Hungarian citizens in recognition of long service within their respective organization.

Each organization's decorations are worn on a unique ribbon.

The Police Service Decorations have a plain light blue ribbon.
