Physical Description

A smooth and polished hollow Rupert cross with a raised border, constructed of silver. The obverse medallion features a smooth border and a crowned monogram ‘F’ in the centre. The reverse medallion features the number ‘25’ in the centre and the circular inscription ‘IAHRE TREUER DIENSTE’ between two smooth borders (25 years of loyal service). On a loop for suspension, on a dark red ribbon with broad white side stripes.

History

The Military Long Service Cross in Silver for 25 Years was founded by Landgrave Ferdinand and was conferred upon Non-Commissioned Officers who rendered 25 years of faithful military service.
